‘Tis the season to be turning everything we do, make and drink into something festive! Unless you’re not into that, in which case, this can just be an appropriately seasonal cranberry beverage. This Cranberry Gin Fizz features a fresh homemade cranberry simple syrup which will add some fantastic fruitiness and sweetness to the rest of the beverage. This can also be made into a mocktail very easily, as well!
Drinks
Ginger Pear Bourbon Cocktail
Every year I wait for peak pear season so I can eat them all day, in every way. They are still going strong around here as sweet as can be in late November, and so I’ve started to even drink them. This Ginger Pear Bourbon Cocktail is a delicious one for the late fall season. Zingy ginger, sweet pear, and warming bourbon all in one neat glass. It can also be turned into a mocktail if preferred!
Festive Sparkling Rosé Cocktail
I was recently gifted a bottle of sparkling rosé wine. It was a sweet gesture, but it’s been sitting on my shelf for a few months now and I’ve been wondering what I should do with it. I usually don’t opt for bubbly drinks, though I do love the way sparkling wine tastes. So it came down to two options: re-gift it, or get a little creative. Well, I opted for the latter, and the result is this delicious festive sparkling rosé cocktail. Mildly bubbly and completely flavorful.
Pimm’s Cup Popsicles
I enjoy refreshing cocktails in the summer because of the abundance of fresh fruits and herbs. Pimm’s Cups are the (un)official beverage of Wimbledon and are more popular in the UK than the US. But what they are, are delicious. Light and fruity but without the cloying sweetness of simple syrup or loads of added sugar. And when it’s in the 90’s-100’s in the late summer, Pimm’s Cup Popsicles are an excellent way to cool down.
Rhubarb Collins Cocktail
A few years ago, I lived in a house that had two things overtaking the whole garden: Rosemary and Rhubarb. While I added some things to the garden myself, the abundance of rhubarb that came from this untamed plant was incredible. I had never really done much with it before, and so I set off to experiment with it.
