Happy Crepe Week!
Steak and mushrooms. A classic combination, match made in heaven, and it makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Well you know how to spice up your steak and potatoes night? Make some steak and mushroom crepes!
We don’t eat steak very often around here any more, but that’s not to say we don’t like it. We are steak people at heart, but we find we enjoy it more when it is a “treat.” And I must say, whipping up these steak and mushroom crepes took our steak nights to a new level.
It somehow felt less guilty than a normal steak dinner. Maybe it was the controlled portion sizes? Who knows. But pair these with a side of veggies and you have yourself a dynamite meal. It’s incredibly simple, and you can cook this up a a meal without the crepe as well (I just love multi-use recipes!), and it really does come off as impressive.
Prior to prepping for Crepe Week, I had never thought of crepes as anything other than a crepe. But in some strange way, against my naturally purist tendencies, I have come to realize that crepes are the French version of a burrito or taco. You really can fill them with anything. This hearty meal suggestion is just one of them, and be sure to let me know if you give it a go! I promise you’ll love it.
You can make these using this Foolproof Crepe recipe. Enjoy!
